Today I uploaded to the Charity Commission’s portal and to Daring to Dream’s website, our latest Annual Report and Accounts.

Taking stock:

Anyone who is chair or treasurer of a charity understands that this is a monumental piece of work and an important opportunity to stop and reflect on performance, achievements, progress, impact, assess plans, strategy, monitor financial spend and income.

Daring to Dream Charity Single – Here Together

For Trustees

The Annual Report & Accounts is the Board’s report on the past year. The annual report and accounts holds the work of the board and the charity ‘to account’ and most charities reports require at least an Independent Review, if not an audit.

A document of accountability but also a document to showcase the work, achievements & transformation of the charity.

Acknowledgements and Thanks

None of this progress would be possible without our extraordinary network of support.

My deepest, heartfelt thanks go to my fellow dedicated Trustees and in particular my co-founding Trustees, Dr Nav Masani and John Chown, our established Advisory Network, our growing team of ambassadors, supporters and freelance contractors, our corporate partners, and the NHS Wales clinical teams with whom we collaborate daily.

Most importantly, I thank our beneficiaries and their families, who remain the absolute heart of our mission as we continue to create essential Spaces to Talk and Spaces to Sing in hospitals in Wales.

By softening the harsh edges of a medical diagnosis, we are not changing the clinical prognosis—but we are fundamentally changing the human experience of illness. We are ensuring that while medicine treats the body,

Daring to Dream supports the soul.
