Daring to Dream, partnered with Cranfield Trust to strengthen its long-term sustainability.

With support from an experienced volunteer consultant, we have developed a robust business plan and financial forecast to transition from founder-led delivery to a more resilient operational structure.

The project has positioned Daring to Dream for sustainable growth, stronger governance and expanded impact across Wales.

We completed a soft but important re-brand as part of the process.

We became Daring to Dream, the Emotional Health Charity

Three key development arms of our plan

  • Income generation: It is essential we use grants for unrestricted funding as stepping stones for our income generation. Our aspiration is to become grant-free or at least non-dependent on grants.
  • Appoint a freelance ‘Founder’s Associate’ and Operational Team: with our increased income, the first call on unrestricted funding it to begin to develop the core operational team, initially working together with Barbara, and then she will transition away from operational responsibilities.
  • Grow a more substantial board: recruit additional trustees, widening our strategic expertise and networks, and ensuring our governance and monitoring develops to support a resilient and sustainable organisation.
