‘The Space to Talk’ is the title of Daring to Dream’s podcasts.
In each one we are inviting guests to tell us about their health journeys and experiences and to explain how that has affected them emotionally.
Exploring how they have responded to their emotions and what they have learned, we hope will inform and inspire others who are also engaged in their own health journey.
Angelina Hall is our special guest in our second podcast
Married with two children. Angelina is a very talented glass artist and with a business colleague, she runs Glass by Design in Penarth (https://www.glassbydesign.co.uk/).
During 2025, Angelina was once again diagnosed with breast cancer, successfully working her way through her treatment during the year.
Open, honest and powerful
When sharing who she finds it is easiest to share the experiences of living with illness and treatments with, her opening comment was that they are not necessarily your family.
She said “It changes you. Illness changes you. I have a really supportive family. They were wonderful through it all. But I realised they are watching you go through it; and at the same time, they are going through their own problems in trying to deal with it. But they are not actually going through it.
Its only possibly people who are going through the same type of thing or just going through a traumatic experience that can actually understand and that you can talk to and you can open up with.’
