We are hugely grateful The National Lottery Community Fund supported our application for “Lleswyl 2025 and Beyond”. Their support is to ensure that Lleswyl is definitely not #foronenightonly but actually helps promote and encourage the development of small community based groups, ones that build friendships and support, and bring people living with illness together over a shared interest.

One such community group who featured in #Lleswyl2025 are the Cwmbran Deaf Choir.

As a charity, Daring to Dream’s mission is supporting the emotional health of those living with illness in Wales and we do this by #makingspacestotalk in hospitals.

This is because every illness or condition (including deafness) has an emotional impact; we can all feel upset, frustrated, lonely or isolated because of our illness or condition.

Our annual wellbeing festival, Lleswyl, is an important part of our work, as we bring music to the huge numbers of people across Wales who can’t get to live gigs because of illness. Lleswyl is also full of engaging conversation, promoting the importance of emotional health for everyone living with illness, in order to help them live their best lives.

Lleswyl is a powerful combination of great music, engaging conversation, inspirational stories and charities all brought together by a great team of well-known hosts (Sian Lloyd, Tumi Williams and Jason Harrold)

“What the Cwmbran Deaf Choir epitomises is not only their shared love of music, but also that it is a community that has built and continues to build friendships, support, joy and confidence. Each choir member feels they ‘belong’ and certainly is aware that they will ‘never walk alone’.

The choir itself is an important #spacetotalk for all the young people and adults who are in its membership.

We loved seeing the joy on the faces of every choir member and how skilfully they interpreted each track, conveying the emotions behind it.

Daring to Dream commissioned two tracks specially to sync with the choir’s signing to ensure we could include the choir. ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ and ‘Proud’.

Thank you so much to everyone in the choir and to Mary and Lou for all you do in leading the choir.” Barbara Chidgey, Chair, Daring to Dream

#Lleswyl2025 remains available for to watch on You Tube – Lleswyl 2025.

Our sincere thanks also to Cathryn McShane-Kouyate and Julie Doyle our BSL signers throughout the production of Lleswyl 2025.

And a huge thank you to The National Community Fund Wales for your support and for inspiring us to really begin to build a legacy in unleashing small community groups consisting of those living with illness or condition.
Diolch yn fawr iawn.

Please enjoy both of these tracks, music arranged by Maddie Jones, specially commissioned by Daring to Dream and signed beautifully by the Cwmbran Deaf Choir.
