Lleswyl (Daring to Dream’s online Wellbeing Festival) will truly be an experience not to be missed. By producing Lleswyl, the charity Daring to Dream aims to achieve two very specific things.

Firstly, to reach out to those living with chronic illness or disability, to bring a festival-at-home experience to them; since getting to live gigs is not an option for them, we are bringing the gig to them. (We are bringing to literally everyone – well or not well!)

Secondly, the charity is determinedly and passionately raising awareness of the need for supporting the emotional health and wellbeing of those living with chronic illness and disability.

Lleswyl is free, inclusive, diverse, open to all and a wonderful production – please secure your free tickets from https://lleswyl.eventbrite.co.uk.

Yesterday we completed the editing and scheduling of what will be a genuinely amazing experience, a wellbeing festival brought straight to you at home.

The variety of music, the engaging performances – they are simply to be enjoyed by everyone, irrespective of health. Featuring folk, rock, funk, afrobeat, jazz, swing, hip hop (and more) from  Afro Cluster, Calan, Ify Iwobi, The Gentle Good (Gareth Bonello), Root Doctors, Dr & the Medics, Philanthropy Jazz, and the Royal Welsh Little Big Band. Each mini-set is a couple of tracks, lasting about 10 minutes, so the acts appear more than once throughout the night. Such diverse talent, music, performers to bring you joy and fun.

The pace and variety throughout the evening is powerful, the choice of music at each stage has been chosen in response to the hugely engaging stories we have captured from individuals living with chronic illness. At times the music will lift you up, getting you clapping and laughing, and at other times it will relax you and soothe you.

We guarantee that these short videos will  inform you, warm you, hold your attention and inspire you. Each cameo tells the story of an individual who doesn’t let their illness define them. Instead, they have indeed learnt to dream again, to hope again, to learn again, to achieve so much, to live again .

Ordinary individuals, who are achieving extraordinary dreams and hopes. Individuals who shine a powerful light on the importance of emotional health & wellbeing in order to ‘live’ with chronic ill health or disability. Their stories also highlight the huge part music plays in helping them do this. They will each inspire you; there will be moments throughout the evening that will really, really touch your heart. There will be moments of genuine laughter.

Sian, Jase and Tumi will bring Lleswyl together for you, co-presenting live on the night, with  BSL interpretation, and really engaging you – our Lleswyl attendees enjoying your festival-at-home experience. Together, they are our wonderful Lleswyl team of presenters: Sian Lloyd (with her wealth of experience from the world of journalism and TV presenting), Jase Harrold (radio presenter extraordinaire and currently heard each day on Smooth) and Tumi Williams (the amazing musician, lead of Afro Cluster, creative artist, chef and more).

Please – join us – learn to dream again, to hope again, to love again, to learn again.
