For one night only in February, Daring to Dream will broadcast world-class musicians into homes around Wales, to create the ultimate at-home festival experience. They’ve secured bands who are regulars on the festival circuit – Green Man, Womad, Glastonbury and now Lleswyl!
From the field to the front room, there are no worries about bad weather, poor catering, or the state of the toilets at Lleswyl! That’s an important feature of the festival, it’s comfortable and totally accessible to all.
It’s a live-streamed, at-home event, in recognition that 1.2 million adults living in Wales are grappling daily with a physical illness. Acute and chronic conditions, disability, or loneliness, prevent people from accessing many social experiences, which Daring to Dream want to change.
It does not take much to create social experiences that work for everyone and draw people together. The festival concept centres around watch parties. These parties are a model for inclusive socialising. Lleswyl is just the beginning, it aims to kickstart regular social occasions to offer emotional support for those who are isolated and lonely through chronic illness or disability.
The festival is an opportunity to do this with fantastic music, hosted live by Siân Lloyd, Jason Harrold, and Tumi Williams (BSL interpreted also).
To access the event all you need to do is register for your free ticket, get your friends over and plan your party.
We’ll take care of the music and leave you in charge of the bar!
